The British studio BULKHEAD has announced a remarkable online shooter WARDOGS, which may attract fans of this genre with a classic gameplay formula, excellent graphics, and a realistic setting.
What is known
The developer immediately emphasizes that WARDOGS is not an Extraction shooter or Battle Royale, which flood the market, but an old-school tactical shooter where three teams fight on a large-scale 256 km² map.
Up to a hundred players can participate in a match, either solo or in small groups of mercenaries. They have to complete various tasks, and the team that first takes full control of a 2×2 km section and earns 100 points by holding the territory will win.
At the beginning of each match, players receive $10,000 and use it to buy equipment and fortifications, with additional amounts credited for various actions, with more money given for teamwork and healing allies than for killing enemies. An important feature of WARDOGS is that the accumulated money carries over between matches, so you can save up a significant amount and use it to strengthen the team.
Developers promise large-scale destructibility of all buildings and adrenaline-fueled battles using military equipment. All communication takes place in the local voice chat, which is used to discuss tactics with friends or troll enemies.
