Li Auto has unveiled key features of the new flagship SUV L9 Livis. The six-seater crossover is equipped with a 72.7 kWh CATL battery, providing up to 340 km of range in fully electric mode.

What is known

The L9 Livis retains the design features of the first generation, introduced in 2022, but has a redesigned front bumper, new recessed door handles, and updated rear lights. The vehicle dimensions are 5,255 mm in length, 2,000 mm in width, and 1,810 mm in height. Compared to its predecessor, the crossover is 37 mm longer, 2 mm wider, and 10 mm taller. The wheelbase has increased by 20 mm to 3,125 mm.

One of the important innovations is the ability to tow a trailer weighing up to 1,500 kg, which was not available in the first-generation model. The L9 Livis comes with 21- or 22-inch wheels. The curb weight ranges from 2,755 to 2,835 kg depending on the trim, with a total weight of 3,435 kg.

The hybrid system includes a new 1.5-liter L3E15CA gasoline engine developed by Li Auto's division. This unit replaced the L2E15M engine from Power Xinchen. The maximum power of the new engine is 115 kW (154 hp), which is comparable to the previous unit.

The characteristics of the electric motors have not yet been disclosed, but during certification, it was learned that the L9 Livis uses a CATL lithium-nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) battery with a capacity of 72.7 kWh. The version with 22-inch wheels travels up to 322 km on electric drive, while the 21-inch version covers up to 340 km. The measurement conditions are not specified.

The maximum speed of the crossover is 200 km/h, which is 20 km/h higher than the previous model. After the battery is discharged, fuel consumption reaches 6.4 liters per 100 km. In hybrid mode, the engine consumes only 0.23 liters per 100 km.

It was also previously reported that the L9 Livis received electronically controlled suspension, steer-by-wire, a fully controlled chassis, and a fully electronic braking system (EMB).

The official premiere of the model is scheduled for March, and the price in China will be 559,800 yuan (about 80,685 dollars). This is about 100,000 yuan (about 14,410 dollars) more expensive than the top version of the previous generation.
