Polestar has expanded the capabilities of the Polestar Charge service in Europe by fully integrating Tesla Supercharger stations into its own application. Now Polestar drivers do not need to use a separate Tesla app to find stations, check availability, or start charging.

What is known

More than 20,000 Superchargers are available through Polestar Charge at 1,500 locations across Europe. Their real-time status is also displayed in Polestar's standard navigation based on Google Maps.

Polestar Charge is a roaming service created in collaboration with Plugsurfing. The company does not develop its own charging infrastructure, but provides access to a partner network. Since launching, the number of available charging points in Europe has increased from 650,000 to over 1 million.

Polestar also reminded about the Plug & Charge function, which allows charging to start without a card, app, or manual payment confirmation — the car and station automatically exchange data. In Europe, this technology is supported by more than 28,000 charging stations, including over 8,100 in Germany. Plug & Charge is already available for Polestar 2 of the 2026 model year and Polestar 3; it will be added for Polestar 4 via an OTA update.

Using Polestar Charge does not require a subscription fee. However, an optional subscription for 13.99 euros per month is available, providing a 30% discount on charging with service partners. It covers 80,000 charging points from 42 operators.
