TDM Neo launched on Kickstarter — hybrid headphones that transform into a compact Bluetooth speaker
A crowdfunding campaign has started on Kickstarter for the production of the unique Neo headphones from the new startup TDM.
Let’s remember, the young audio brand Strong debut of a new brand: TDM Neo presented at CES 2026 — headphones that turn into a Bluetooth speaker in early January, where it presented a unique development — hybrid headphones that can transform into a compact Bluetooth speaker. The device combines two listening formats and offers functionality that no other manufacturer has offered before, which attracted huge public attention.
What is known
During the campaign on Kickstarter, anyone can already pay for TDM Neo and get them for just $190 instead of $250 — this is the price they will be sold at retail. The company plans to start production of the new product in June.
The main feature of Neo is the flexible headband that allows you to wrap the headphones around the cups. In this position, the external speakers are activated and the device works as a portable speaker. In normal mode, the internal 40-mm drivers are used, and switching between formats happens automatically when folding the structure or by pressing a button.
Inside, there are four speakers: two directed inward for headphone mode and two outward for speaker mode. The operating time is impressive: up to 200 hours in headphone mode and about 10 hours in speaker mode. Two replaceable 1500 mAh batteries are responsible for autonomy, which is rare for modern wireless models.
Bluetooth 6 with Multipoint and Auracast support is used for connection, and a 3.5-mm audio jack is also provided.
TDM Neo does not have active noise cancellation, but the idea of the device is so interesting and promising that users can easily forgive this shortcoming, which might be solved in the following models.
