Škoda electric cars have received new apps installed in the infotainment system. Spotify simplifies access to music and podcasts, Škoda Play offers video content, and Air Console turns cars into gaming consoles.

What is known

Apps are available to Škoda Elroq and Enyaq owners with software version ME4 and above — that is, cars produced from the end of 2024.

The most interesting addition is the Air Console gaming platform. The cult game Tetris is exclusively available for the Škoda brand. About 15 games are available at launch, but the selection will expand further. In addition to Tetris, you can play casual games, puzzles, action, races, and sports competitions.

Using the feature is simple: launch the app in the system, select a game, and connect your smartphone, which works as a gamepad. The app only works in a parked car. Games use the large central screen and the car's audio system. You can connect several phones at once for multiplayer mode so that all passengers are entertained.

The Spotify app pairs with an account via a QR code and uses the car's built-in internet connection without additional traffic fees. Offline listening is supported.

Škoda Play provides access to video content from BBC, CNN, Euronews, Red Bull TV, NASA, and other platforms. The app also uses the car's internet connection and does not require an external account.
