Fans in shock: the iconic Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is finally coming to all modern platforms!
At the State of Play, an announcement occurred that fans of Metal Gear had been dreaming of for more than 15 years, and Konami had only hinted at its possibility.
So, the iconic fourth part of MGS, which was released in 2008 and is still only available on PlayStation 3, will be released on all current platforms as part of the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.2.
What is known
Konami introduced the second collection of remasters, which, like the games in Master Collection Vol.1, will not receive significant graphical improvements, but developers will make them compatible with modern systems and somewhat enhance performance and visual execution according to current standards.
In addition to Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Master Collection Vol.2 will include Peace Walker (HD Collection version) and Ghost Babel, as well as some additional materials, including the soundtrack.
Simultaneously with the announcement, Konami released an update with various improvements for the first collection and offers a 50% discount on Steam for Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater (a new remake of the third part of the series).
When to expect
Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.2 will be released on August 27 on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.
