Tecno introduced the Pova Curve 2 5G — a slim smartphone with an 8000 mAh battery and a 144 Hz AMOLED display
The Chinese brand Tecno has launched the budget sub-flagship smartphone Pova Curve 2 5G, which is the successor to Pova Curve 5G and offers a significant step forward in specifications.
What is known
The device is equipped with a 6.78'' curved AMOLED display with a 144 Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 4500 nits. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i, and the body is only 7.42 mm thick, which is an excellent indicator given the 8000 mAh battery that provides up to two days of active use. The battery supports 45 W fast charging.
The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7100 processor, combined with 8 GB of RAM and 128/256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The device runs on Android 16 with the HiOS 16 shell.
The main camera includes a 50 MP module and a 2 MP macro sensor, and the front camera is 13 MP. This set looks modest, but it is sufficient for everyday shooting or video calls.
The Pova Curve 2 5G features IP65 protection, G1 and SE1 signal enhancement chips, and a signature design inspired by spaceships (“Starship Inspired Design”) with a triangular camera module.
The model is offered in Mystic Purple, Melting Silver, and Storm Titanium shades and is currently only available in India at a price of around $310 (converted from rupees).
