ASUS has introduced an ultra-wide gaming monitor ROG Strix OLED XG34WCDMTG with a 21:9 aspect ratio, which stands out not only with a 34" OLED panel with a 240Hz refresh rate but also with the ability of full autonomous operation without connecting to a computer.

What is known

The model is equipped with a built-in Google TV system based on Android 14, which turns the monitor into a standalone multimedia device: users can launch YouTube, Netflix, Twitch, and other apps, watch films and series, use the browser, and control the device like a full-fledged Smart TV.

Wi-Fi 6 support ensures stable network connectivity, and integration with the NVIDIA GeForce NOW cloud service allows games to be run without a PC — all that is needed is a stable internet connection, and a gamepad is recommended. Thus, the XG34WCDMTG can replace several devices at once: a monitor, a TV set-top box, and even a gaming console when using cloud gaming.

The new product features a curved OLED panel with a 1800R curvature and a resolution of 3440×1440. The response time is only 0.03ms, and improved burn-in protection algorithms extend the lifespan of the matrix. Built-in speakers with Dolby Atmos support eliminate the need for external acoustics, and the interface set includes HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, and a USB hub.
