Volvo EX30 Black Edition unveiled

Volvo has launched the EX30 Black Edition electric crossover in the UK market. The model features glossy black exterior accents and an exclusive Indigo interior. Prices start from £40,060 (€46,065) for the Single Motor Plus modification.

What is known

The Black Edition is only available in Onyx Black with tinted rear windows. The glossy black paint is applied to:

  • 19-inch wheels
  • front grille elements
  • Volvo lettering at the back and model designation
  • mirror housings and spoiler

The interior features an Indigo color scheme with dark blue shades, textile materials, and recycled denim inserts.

Power units and range

The Black Edition version is offered in two configurations:

  • Single Motor Extended Range — rear-wheel drive, range up to 295.2 miles (475 km)
  • Twin Motor Performance — all-wheel drive, range up to 279 miles (450 km)

A heat pump is standard equipment. Both configurations are available in Plus and Ultra trims.

Standard equipment includes:

  • five radars, five cameras, and 12 ultrasonic sensors
  • adaptive cruise control
  • air quality control system and remote pre-cleaning of the cabin
  • 12.3-inch central display
  • powered tailgate

The EX30 entered the top ten best-selling electric vehicles in the UK in 2025. The Black Edition version expands the brand's "black" lineup, first introduced in 2023 on the Volvo XC60. This version is now also available for the Volvo XC90, Volvo XC40, Volvo EX40, and Volvo EC40.
