Season Two of Battlefield 6 has begun: new map, two modes, additional gadgets, and more military equipment
Season Two of Battlefield 6 has begun. Electronic Arts released a major update and added a lot of content to the multiplayer shooter, which should motivate players to return to the game.
What is known
Besides technical improvements in the preliminary update, Season 2 brings many important innovations to Battlefield 6, the main ones being the Contaminated map (a NATO base in Germany), the temporary VL-7 Strike mode with psychoactive gas, and the Battle Royale mode — Synthesis with infected zones. The shooter also features the AH-6 Little Bird attack helicopter, M121 A2 machine gun, GRT-CPS semi-automatic rifle, and VCR-2 assault rifle.
Additionally, players can use a new armored vehicle, and the gadget list has been updated with the 9K38 IGLA anti-aircraft missile system, HTI-Mk2 reconnaissance device, and protective masks for working in contaminated areas in Synthesis mode.
The battle pass offers gamers a large number of new rewards, including cosmetic items. New content is also prepared for the unpopular Redsec mode.
It's currently unknown if the developers will be able to restore the shooter's popularity with the second season, but the peak online count on Steam has already exceeded 70 thousand people, although it rarely reached 40-50 thousand recently.
Battlefield 6 is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
