In April 2025, the Japanese studio FromSoftware Almost Bloodborne: FromSoftware has announced The Duskbloods, a multiplayer action game that will be a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive, which looks incredibly similar to the legendary Bloodborne and will not only be an experimental game but also a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive.

Since then, the developers have not shared any news about The Duskbloods, but today several sources have hinted at its imminent release.

What is known

First, a page for the new FromSoftware game appeared on the Finnish retailer Konsolinet's website, listing the exact release date as March 27, 2026, and the price as €79.95. Now the release date has been replaced with a "placeholder" (12.31.2026).

Many gamers did not believe that the game would be released so soon, as its promotional campaign has not even started, and it's hard to believe that such a major release would not have extensive PR support, even if it is a novel title from the creator of Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and Elden Ring.

After this, a game page was also noticed on the Australian Nintendo eShop, but without a release date. In addition, a message with promotional advertising for The Duskbloods was published on Reddit, so apparently, official game news is expected soon.

Unlike previous FromSoftware games, The Duskbloods is being developed with a focus on multiplayer gameplay, with each player in the session having their own mission, unknown to other participants, and they can either fight among themselves or unite if their goals coincide.
