Microsoft and the Playground Games studio have unveiled an atmospheric trailer for the highly anticipated racing game Forza Horizon 6, which will be the largest installment in the series and will take players to the streets and tracks of Japan for the first time.

What is Known

This time, the developers did not showcase gameplay or reveal features of the 550 cars, but instead showed the beauty of virtual Japan.

Previously, the creators stated that they pay great attention to small details to convey all the nuances of the culture, architecture, and nature of the Land of the Rising Sun as accurately and authentically as possible, and the presented video confirms this.

It is important that the footage is done on the game engine and demonstrates its actual level of graphics.

In the Forza Horizon 6 competitions, gamers will find themselves in various locations: in the suburbs and on the central streets of Tokyo, on mountain serpentine roads and high-speed tracks, among bamboo groves, and on the seashore. Each of these “biomes” differs in style, mood, and racing conditions, and their visual execution deserves the highest praise.

When to Expect

Forza Horizon 6 will be released on May 19, 2026, on PC and Xbox Series, as well as in the Game Pass catalog. A release on PlayStation 5 will follow a bit later.

All those interested can pre-order, and Premium edition buyers will receive bonuses, including a racing car and the opportunity to start playing from May 15.
