Insider Revealed the Return of OnePlus 15s with an Updated Camera
After rumors of potential cancellation of OnePlus 15s for the Indian market, new information has emerged: the smartphone is back in development. This was reported by Yogesh Brar.
What is Known
Previously, the insider claimed that the compact flagship, which was supposed to become the successor of OnePlus 13s and be based on the OnePlus 15T model for China, was under threat of cancellation. Now the source states that the project has been revived, but with updated optics.
According to the insider, OnePlus 15s will have a changed camera configuration, but details are not disclosed yet. For comparison, OnePlus 15T is attributed with a main sensor of 200 or 50 MP and a 50 MP telephoto module. There might be no ultra-wide module.
It is rumored that OnePlus 15T will get a 200 MP sensor, while 15s may have a main camera of 50 MP. However, this is just a hypothesis, there are no official confirmations yet.
After the presentation of OnePlus 15R in December, the company has not released any new smartphones. There was also a report about the postponement of the Nord 6 launch, which was expected in March. According to preliminary data, OnePlus 15T will debut in China and receive a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, a 6.32-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1.5K and a frequency of 165 Hz, up to 16 GB LPDDR5x and up to 1 TB UFS 4.1. The smartphone may receive a battery with a capacity of about 7500 mAh with support for 100 W charging and wireless charging. It is expected that OnePlus 15s may be introduced in the second quarter of the year.
