The Most Powerful Version of the Lotus Emira Revealed the Potential of a 4-Cylinder Mercedes Engine
The Australian company Simply Sports Cars presented a limited series of the Lotus Emira coupe, dedicated to the legendary Mount Panorama Circuit. The novelty was named the Emira Turbo Bathurst Edition.
What is Known
It is planned to release only 15 copies. Each is equipped with an upgraded version of the Mercedes-AMG M139 engine. The 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo engine in the standard version develops around 400 hp, but in the Bathurst Edition, it is boosted to 500 hp.
For track use, the model also received adjustable shock absorbers, enlarged AP Racing brakes, and a more aggressive aerodynamic body kit. The equipment includes a carbon front splitter and a large rear wing in GT4 style.
In Australia, the price is 249,900 dollars, which is equivalent to about 150,000 euros. Each car has an individual number, and the only option remains the choice of wheel color. In addition, buyers automatically receive an invitation to a Lotus customer track day in Bathurst in 2027.
This is an opportunity to fully reveal the potential of the refined Emira. Meanwhile, it is worth noting that the first copy has already been sold, and there are only 14 cars left in the production quota.
