Limiter at 90 km/h for 690 euros: Microlino electric car receives new option
Microlino is offered in two versions. One has a speed limiter at 45 km/h, the other at 90 km/h. Recently, a software update for the 45 km/h version was released, allowing for an increase in maximum speed to 90 km/h.
What is known
Thanks to the 45 km/h limiter, Microlino can be driven by drivers aged 15 years and older with an AM category driving license. This rule applies in Germany and Austria.
The new option means that the car can "grow" with the owner. After unlocking 90 km/h, Microlino moves from L6e class vehicles to L7e. In this case, a category B driving license will be sufficient for driving.
In Germany, the update package costs 690 euros and includes:
- TÜV certification;
- software power adjustment;
- general technical inspection for registration.
Administrative fees of the registration authority are paid separately and charged by the relevant agencies.
According to the manufacturer, the update expands the model's scope: the city's basic transport turns into a means for longer trips without the need to change vehicles.
According to the configurator, the standard Microlino costs from 19,490 euros, the Lite version from 17,990 euros. Also, the Microlino Spiaggina version is offered from 25,990 euros. Custom personalization options are available for an extra charge of 1,500 euros.
