At the MWC 2026 exhibition, the presentation of the sub-flagship smartphone Motorola Edge 70 Fusion took place.

The novelty does not boast mega-specifications, but will interest those looking for a reliable gadget at a reasonable price.

What is known

The Motorola Edge 70 Fusion features a 6.78” AMOLED display, curved on all sides, with a resolution of 1.5K, a frequency of 144 Hz, and a peak brightness of 5200 nits. Motorola promises HDR10+ support, SGS eye protection, and Smart Water Touch 3.0 technology for working with wet fingers. The smartphone runs on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, which is not the most powerful one, but it's enough for smooth window switching and stable application performance.

The Motorola Edge 70 Fusion is the first smartphone with the new 50 MP Sony LYT-710 sensor with optical stabilization (OIS), providing high-quality photos and videos even in low light conditions. The front camera has a resolution of 32 MP, and both can shoot in 4K resolution.

There is an interesting situation with the battery capacity indicator: Motorola divisions indicate different values, but most likely the Edge 70 Fusion will get 7000 mAh in India, while in Europe this figure will be 5200 mAh.

The thickness of the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion case is only 8 mm, it will be available in the colors Sporting Green, Silhouette Black, Blue Surf, Orient Blue, and Country Air, developed in collaboration with PANTONE.

It is announced that the smartphone will receive:

  • water and dust protection according to the IP69 standard;
  • compliance with military durability standard MIL-STD 810H;
  • support for the modern Bluetooth 6.0 standard.

The sale start date will be announced soon. The cost is not reported yet, but previously the authoritative insider billbil-kun shared information about the European prices and configurations of the Edge 70 Fusion. According to his data, the novelty will be sold in France for €499 for the version with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal memory — that's $100 more expensive than the Edge 60 Fusion. How much the version with 12/256 GB will cost is still unknown.
