Xiaomi Ends Updates for Popular Phones and Tablets: Is Yours Affected?
Xiaomi has updated the list of devices that will no longer receive firmware, security patches, or new versions of HyperOS.
Xiaomi regularly updates the EOL list, and the March update was a continuation of changes the company made at the end of 2024 and throughout 2025. The manufacturer is gradually ending support for models released 3-4 years ago to focus on lines with longer update cycles.
What is known
The latest update includes smartphones that have not received major updates for a long time and are now finally losing minimal patches as well. The list includes smartphones and tablets from the Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO lines.
Each model on the EOL list will no longer receive:
- Android updates,
- HyperOS updates,
- monthly and quarterly security patches,
- vulnerability fixes.
EOL status means that the device remains functional, but the risk of personal information leaks, including passwords, increases, new applications may work incorrectly, and some services gradually stop supporting older versions of Android.
