Xiaomi has released the updated Mijia Vertical Study Lamp 2, which has become noticeably brighter, smarter, and more durable compared to the previous generation, while maintaining the signature minimalist design of the Mijia line. The vertical design allows for a larger desk area to be covered, and the high brightness makes the lamp suitable for rooms up to 15 m².

What is known

The lamp provides a light output of up to 12,700 lumens — brightness increased by 27% compared to the first version, and the illuminance in the center reaches 1800 lux, which ensures comfortable studying or working, reducing eye strain — this is also facilitated by a uniformity coefficient of 1.04.

The LED lifespan is approximately 17 years of use, making the model virtually eternal for the home office desk.

Mijia Vertical Study Lamp 2 supports smart dimming, human presence detection, and control via the Mi Home app — the lamp integrates into the Xiaomi smart home ecosystem and can work in automated scenarios.

The manufacturer does not state the presence of a battery or the possibility of autonomous operation, so it is a wired model that connects to the mains (220–240 V) and operates from a standard socket, like a conventional stationary lamp.

Xiaomi Mijia Vertical Study Lamp 2 is currently only available in China, at a price of $300–350 (converted from yuan). An international release has not yet been confirmed, but Mijia line devices regularly appear on global platforms.
