Meet the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro: Stunning Design, Glyph Matrix Lighting, and World's First 140x Zoom!
Nothing Phone (4a) Launches: Dazzling New Glyph Bar, Triple Camera, and Stunning Colors for €350, Nothing also introduced the sub-flagship smartphone Phone (4a) Pro. The British brand remains loyal to its signature style and has done everything to make the novelty appeal to those who are not afraid to stand out in a crowd and do not like boring utilitarian designs.
What is known
Nothing Phone (4a) Pro received a fully metallic body with a thickness of 7.95 mm, an improved cooling system with a 5300 mm² vapor chamber, and a redesigned design with a transparent rear panel.
The main feature of the smartphone is the circular Glyph Matrix lighting, inherited from the 2025 flagship Nothing Phone (3). Unlike the older model, which had 489 LEDs, the (4a) Pro uses a reduced version of the array — about 137 mini-LEDs that display notifications, animations, charging progress, and other system events.
Nothing Phone (4a) Pro received a large 6.83” display with a resolution of 2800×1260, a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz, and a peak brightness of up to 1600 nits. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i coating.
At the core of the device is a rather modest Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, complemented by 8 or 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 128 or 256 GB of UFS 3.1 standard flash memory. You should not count on maximum performance, but these characteristics are more than enough for everyday tasks.
The Phone (4a) Pro received a 5080 mAh battery with 50 W fast charging support and 7.5 W reverse charging. The body is protected according to IP65 standard, which provides resistance to dust and splashes.
The smartphone runs on Android 16 with Nothing OS 4.1 shell.
Nothing Phone (4a) Pro is the first smartphone in the (a) series where the manufacturer did not cut back on cameras. Moreover, Nothing stated that it became the world's first smartphone with 140x zoom.
The gadget received a triple module:
- 50 MP main Sony sensor with OIS,
- 8 MP wide-angle module,
- 50 MP periscope-telephoto with 3.5× optical zoom;
- + front camera — 32 MP.
