Almost immediately after the newly appointed head of Microsoft Gaming, Asha Sharma, Xbox's New Project Helix Console Promises PC Game Compatibility and Steam Access, new information about its main competitor — PlayStation 6 — emerged.

What is Known

The author of the YouTube channel Moore's Law Is Dead, who has repeatedly shared information about Sony's new platform, stated that it will be able to run games in native 4K resolution at a stable 120 FPS — currently, such figures are only available on the PS5 Pro for games from previous console generations. This performance will be supported not only by top-of-the-line components and, as claimed, 30 GB of RAM, but also by the PSSR scaling technology based on AI tools, which significantly boosts game performance. Recently, it received version 2.0 on PS5 Pro, and PSSR is expected to reveal its full potential in the new generation.

Moore's Law Is Dead shared another important message: it refuted Bloomberg's information about postponing PS6 to 2028-29 and claims that the console will be released at the end of 2027 or early 2028.
