Apple is actively introducing new products in the budget segment, as confirmed by the recently announced iPhone 17e and MacBook Neo.

However, the American giant is preparing to offer a line of premium devices that will complement, rather than replace, the Pro versions.

What is Known

In the latest edition of the weekly news digest Power On, esteemed insider and Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman discussed the Ultra gadget series that Apple is preparing for 2026.

Interestingly, information about these novelties has surfaced multiple times before, but it was assumed that they were new flagship Pro-series models, which is not the case.

One of the devices in the new series will be the long-awaited MacBook with a touch OLED screen. Its price is likely to increase by 20% compared to the top model of 2025.

Gurman also confirmed that the first foldable iPhone will receive the Ultra prefix so the price of more than $2000 won't seem as dramatic in marketing materials. When unfolded, its aspect ratio is expected to be 4:3, with the crease between displays being almost imperceptible.

The third novelty will be the TWS headphones AirPods Ultra — this is the very model with built-in cameras and infrared sensors that will provide Visual Intelligence functions (AI will be able to analyze the environment and provide the user with contextual information).

Gurman does not exclude that in the future Apple will extend the Ultra series to iPads with an OLED screen and iMacs with larger displays.
