Publisher Nacon and Chilean studio ACE Team have revealed the release date for the co-op action horror The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu.

This is another game inspired by the novels of H.P. Lovecraft, but this time it's about the story 'The Mound', in which the heroes go to a remote island seeking the entrance to the underground world of the realm of K'nyan.

What is known

This game should appeal to those who find the experience of a single-player atmospheric horror Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss insufficient — it will also release in April with the assistance of Nacon.

The release of The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu is set for July 15 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series, as revealed in a new gameplay trailer showing how four content creators react to events in the game.

Let us remind you, The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu is a four-player first-person horror game, its gameplay reminiscent of the indie hit of 2024, Lethal Company. As in that game, in Omen of Cthulhu you need to prepare for upcoming challenges, choose equipment, and discuss an action plan before each sortie.

On the island, gamers will encounter not only creepy creatures but also deranged humans, and muskets, sabers, axes, and other weapons will help deal with enemies.

The heroes will gradually lose their sanity and see hallucinations, which will affect their resistance abilities. Notably, these visions will be different for all players, which can unexpectedly impact communication and gameplay.
