Honor Magic V6 Launches in China: World's First Foldable with 7150mAh Battery and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5
Honor has released the flagship foldable smartphone Honor Magic V6 in China, which is currently the most advanced Fold gadget due to its chipset, record battery capacity, and the highest level of body protection among devices in this segment.
What is known
The fact is, the smartphone's release in China is of secondary importance for other regions, but because of this, we know the price, and undoubtedly it will disappoint potential buyers since the phones will be even more expensive outside the country.
So, the prices of Honor Magic V6 in China (converted from yuan):
- 12 GB + 256 GB — $1250
- 12 GB + 512 GB — $1390
- 16 GB + 512 GB — $1530
- 16 GB + 1 TB — $1670.
In Europe, the price will easily reach €2000, but that's the price of advanced technology.
Let us remind you, Honor Magic V6 became the first foldable smartphone in the world with a 7150 mAh battery, which is noticeably larger than most similar models on the market (on average, this is 4000-5000 mAh). Honor also offers a second version with a 6850 mAh battery. The smartphone supports 130W fast, as well as wireless charging.
The Magic V6 is the first among foldable smartphones to receive the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, which promises a serious increase in performance and energy efficiency.
The internal screen has a diagonal of 7.95”, and the external one is 6.52”, both made with OLED technology. The internal display can reach a peak brightness of up to 5000 nits, and the external one up to 6000 nits. Both support PWM brightness adjustment with a frequency of 4320 Hz and stylus input.
The smartphone features a top camera with three sensors (50 MP in the main module and module with ultra-wide-angle lens, 64 MP in the periscope module), support for satellite communication, and protection against moisture and dust according to IP68/IP69 standard — this was not previously offered by foldable devices.
In the global market, the novelty is expected in the second half of 2026.
