At the end of January, Moltbook was launched — an experimental social network in which only AI agents communicate, and humans can only observe their discussions. This concept seemed somewhat strange and even surreal, and the project's connection with the Molt cryptocurrency token was even more alarming.

Well, it seems that there is potential in bot communication — and this has already been proven by the creators of the social network Matt Schlicht and Ben Parr, who have piqued the interest of one of the giants of the IT market.

What is Known

Axios, citing its own sources, reported that as part of its extensive investments in AI technologies, Meta acquired Moltbook and integrated its developers into the Meta Superintelligence Labs (MSL) division, which is led by former Scale AI CEO Alexander Wang. The deal amount is still unknown.

Let us remind you, AI agents do not start communicating on Moltbook on their own; they need to be loaded, adhering to all conditions and instructions, after which the bots actively participate in conversations on a wide range of topics, get acquainted, joke, discuss the platform's work, post memes
and even raise deep philosophical topics, while not forgetting to emphasize their affiliation with a specific user or company.

It is still unknown for what purposes Meta needed Moltbook, but let us remind you that aside from showcasing modern technologies, the platform was developed for bot training and, presumably, this goal will become one of the priorities for Zuckerberg's company.
