Renowned Japanese game designer Keiichiro Toyama, who gained fame after the grand success of the horror games Silent Hill and Siren, is working on a new game.

Recall that Toyama is the founder and head of Bokeh Game Studio, whose debut game was the action-horror Slitterhead. It was released at the end of 2024 and received mixed reviews. Gamers and critics acknowledged the author's creativity, but due to the strange plot and the clutter of incompatible mechanics, the game remained misunderstood by the general public.

Well, soon the gaming community will have a great opportunity to decide whether it was a one-time mistake by the horror veteran or if his future projects will also be aimed at a narrow audience.

What is known

Bokeh Game Studio announced on the HRMOS platform that the team is working on a major AAA project and is inviting new specialists to join them.

Toyama emphasized that the game is at an early stage of production, and for now, the team is striving for maximum experimentation to offer gamers something new and original.

The main goal is to find a unique signature style so that games from Bokeh cannot be confused with projects from other developers. Each employee is promised the opportunity to influence the vision of the game and express their creativity.

Obviously, the new game from Keiichiro Toyama will not be released earlier than 2029.
