Another developer announced that they are working on adding support for the latest PSSR 2 scaling technology for PlayStation 5 Pro to their game.

This time it's about the legendary role-playing game Cyberpunk 2077, which has been used more than once as a testing ground for demonstrating the capabilities of the most advanced software and hardware solutions.

What is known

The CD Projekt RED studio will release a special patch that will unveil the full potential of the PlayStation 5 Pro during the playthrough of Cyberpunk 2077.

The Polish developer has yet to disclose details of the update, but immediately noted the obvious thing: no new content introductions should be expected. Obviously, after the update, the game will run at a higher resolution, the beauty of Night City will be presented with a higher frame rate, the graphics quality will probably improve, and gamers can expect accelerated ray tracing. But it's too early to talk about something specific since the enhanced upscaling, developed by Sony and AMD, currently operates only in Resident Evil Requiem, where this technology exhibits impressive results: at a native 1080p resolution, the picture looks as if the game is running in 4K, achieved without sacrificing ray tracing and with stable performance over 60 FPS.

CD Projekt RED promises to share details in the coming weeks.

Recall that in the near future the Remedy's Control and Alan Wake II to Shine with PSSR 2 Upgrade on PS5 Pro as well.
