Volkswagen introduced the compact crossover ID. Cross, which will enter the European market in autumn 2026. The starting price of the model will be around 28,000 euros.

What is known

The electric vehicle was demonstrated on the streets of Amsterdam in camouflage film. This is the first public appearance of a version close to series production.

The new ID. Cross will have three power versions: 85 kW, 99 kW, and 155 kW. Customers will be offered two options for battery capacity: 37 kWh and 52 kWh. Fast DC charging is supported: up to 90 kW for the version with the smaller battery and up to 105 kW for the version with the larger battery.

The exterior design of the model adheres to the brand's new styling, which Volkswagen calls Pure Positive. It features simple body lines and balanced proportions. The interior emphasizes minimalism: large displays are used, with some functions assigned to physical buttons. The company also notes the use of materials that are typically found in higher-class vehicles.

ID. Cross will become one of the most affordable electric vehicles in the European Volkswagen lineup. The starting price of around 28,000 euros will make the model cheaper than existing ID. family vehicles, while retaining a full set of modern driver assistance systems.
