TCL Unveils Giant 163-Inch Micro LED TVs with Stunning Brightness and 4K Clarity
TCL has announced new flagship TVs, TCL Max163M and TCL Max163M Pro, which have become some of the largest and most high-tech models on the market.
163 inches and Micro LED
Both novelties received a huge 163” screen with 4K resolution, built on Micro LED technology, which provides the highest level of brightness, contrast, and color accuracy.
The basic model Max163M offers:
- peak brightness up to 10,000 nits (XDR)
- 100% coverage of the BT.2020 color space
- screen with minimal reflections
- TCL Spirit Control System 3.0 with access to streaming services
- a set of ports, including 4× HDMI 2.1
The Pro version is even cooler
The Max163M Pro model is positioned as an “ultra-flagship” and offers improved features:
- brightness over 10,000 nits
- confirmed refresh rate of 120 Hz at 4K resolution
- the same premium display technologies and design.
Price and Availability
The TVs are already available in China: Max163M costs $35,900, and Max163M Pro is about $50,000 (converted from yuan).
The global launch has not been announced yet, but these mega-TVs are likely to go beyond China in a couple of months.
If the price doesn't scare you and you have a room that can fit a four-meter TV, consider your options carefully when making a purchase: the basic model weighs 190 kg, and the Pro weighs 218 kg.
