Lenovo Unveils Legion Y700 5th Gen: Compact Gaming Powerhouse with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and 165Hz Display
Lenovo announced a compact gaming tablet — Legion Y700 5th Gen. The device received flagship hardware, an advanced cooling system, and a high refresh rate display, designed for mobile gaming.
Note that this is not a new model, but a modification of the Lenovo Unveils Gaming Tablet with 165Hz Display and Wi-Fi 7 at MWC 2026, but unlike this gadget, the new product is aimed at the Chinese market.
Flagship performance
At the core of the tablet is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor — one of the most powerful mobile chips of 2025-26. The tablet is equipped with LPDDR5T RAM of up to 24 GB and a UFS 4.1 Pro storage up to 1 TB, making it suitable not only for gaming but also for resource-intensive tasks.
Thanks to its cool features, the Legion Y700 5th Gen scored more than 4.5 million points in Antutu tests
Screen for gamers
The Legion Y700 5th Gen received an 8.8” display with a resolution of 3040×1904 pixels (3K) and a refresh rate of 165Hz. The panel supports an extended DCI-P3 color gamut, and the peak brightness reaches 800 nits, providing smooth and vibrant images in games and multimedia.
Advanced cooling system
For stable operation under load, a large area vapor chamber cooling system is used. The bypass charging technology, which allows the device to be powered without using the battery, reducing its heating during gaming sessions, is also implemented.
Autonomy and features
The tablet is equipped with a 9000mAh battery supporting fast charging with a power of 68W. Among additional features:
- two USB-C ports for simultaneous charging and accessory connection
- stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support
- X-axis linear motors for tactile feedback.
Configurations and price
The device will be available in several memory options — from 12/256 GB to the top version with 24 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. In China, the starting price is about $625 (converted from yuan), and the maximum configuration is priced at approximately $930.
