Crimson Desert Sells 2 Million Copies in First 24 Hours Amid Mixed Reviews and Stock Drop
Less than a day has passed since the release of the ambitious action RPG Crimson Desert, and the Korean studio Pearl Abyss has a reason to rejoice and simultaneously a good news for its investors, who experienced great stress from yesterday's 30% stock price drop amid the publications of ambiguous reviews by critics.
Not all is bad
The developers reported that Crimson Desert sales reached 2 million copies in the first day.
Obviously, this is the result of a large-scale advertising campaign and hype around the game, which showed it in the best light and prompted gamers to pre-order. Pearl Abyss studio thanked the public for their great interest in its novelty and promised to improve all elements of the game.
