Meta is introducing a new feature for creators on Instagram and Facebook. Now in Reels, clickable product links can be added.

What is known

Creators can add up to 30 different products in one video. In the case of Facebook, this will work through affiliate marketplaces, including Amazon. Previously, creators often used "link in bio" services because the platform limited the possibility of direct navigation to external pages.

The feature is focused on the development of affiliate programs and affiliate sales, where creators earn a commission from purchases. It also aligns Meta's position with competitors — TikTok and YouTube Shorts, which have long supported similar tools.

Meta notes that they are not currently charging commissions on sales through these links. However, the company will gain access to more detailed data about user purchases, which could potentially enhance its advertising business.
