According to the publication, the UK's Department for Science, Innovation and Technology has prepared proposals that envisage the expansion of the company's office in the capital, as well as a possible dual listing of shares.
Negotiations have intensified amid a conflict between Anthropic and the US Department of Defense. Previously, the company refused to change its own restrictions on the use of AI, after which the Pentagon terminated the contract and stated the risks to supply chains. Although this decision is temporarily blocked by the court, the confrontation continues.
Against this backdrop, the UK is trying to take advantage of the situation to attract the company to develop the local technology sector. It is expected that the CEO of Anthropic, Dario Amodei, will visit the country in May.
