What's known
According to the portal Deadline, during the first weekend of international distribution, Super Mario Galaxy Movie grossed an impressive $372.5 million worldwide. This result became the fifth-largest opening weekend in Universal's history. In comparison, Super Mario Galaxy Movie (2023) had a slightly higher debut result — $387.8 million.
Experts are confident that the sequel will easily reach the $1 billion mark (the first part achieved a final result of $1.3 billion).
