Binge App Now Alerts You to Jump Scares in Real-Time Using Apple Live Activities
The Binge movie tracking app received a jump scare warning feature during viewing. It uses the Apple Live Activities feature, which displays notifications on the lock screen.
What is known
The user launches the movie and manually activates it in the app, after which the system sends a warning before abrupt scenes. In the settings, you can choose whether to receive signals only about the most noticeable jump scares.

Binge is not integrated with streaming services, so synchronization depends on user actions. If paused or interrupted, the count needs to be adjusted manually. The app also offers a timeline with scenes.
In addition, the service contains basic information about movies and series - cast, duration, awards, and availability on platforms, similar to Letterboxd and JustWatch. There is a separate block for parents with data on violence, language, and other content.

The app is free, but the jump scare warning feature is available by subscription: $2 per month or $18 per year. Lifetime access is also available for $50. Binge works on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
