Motorola Razr 70 Ultra Leak: Stunning New Colors, Familiar Design, But Where's the Front Camera?
Renowned insider OnLeaks and the Android Headlines portal have presented an exclusive. This time, they showed the public press renders of the new foldable flagship Motorola - Razr 70 Ultra. Judging by the images, the company decided to stick to the proven formula, retaining the design of the 2025 model.
Everything is stable at Motorola
If anyone was hoping for a radical redesign, the Razr 70 Ultra might disappoint, as the smartphone retains the same recognizable clamshell form factor with a massive external screen that occupies almost the entire top panel.
The main visual difference that will help identify the novelty is the new color options. The renders show the device in two new colors - Orient Blue Alcantara and Pantone Cocoa Wood. But these are not all the options, as it was previously reported that the novelty will also be offered in Pantone African Violet color.
Technical changes and dimensions
According to OnLeaks, the Motorola Razr 70 Ultra will become slightly "plumper": in the unfolded state, its thickness will increase to 7.8 mm (compared to 7.2 mm of the previous model). The reason for the changes has not been officially confirmed, but experts suggest that the extra millimeters may benefit battery capacity or an improved cooling system.
The dimensions of the external and internal displays, according to preliminary information, will remain the same — 6.9 and 4 inches.
Moto AI button and hardware
On the left side of the smartphone, there is still a dedicated button for Moto AI functions, confirming the brand's focus on integrating artificial intelligence into all key processes. The volume and power buttons (with an integrated fingerprint scanner) are traditionally located on the right.
Although the full specifications remain a secret, it is expected that the new flagship's "heart" will be the top-end Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. Rumor has it that the Razr 70 Ultra will have the same 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage as the top Flip model of 2025.
The battery capacity is expected to be around 4700 mAh, which is quite good for a smartphone of this segment, and it will support 68W charging.
Forgotten camera?
Surprisingly, although the renders are official, they show that the Razr 70 Ultra lacks a front camera. Android Headlines suggests that either Motorola decided to use an under-display camera or forgot to depict it. The latter seems more likely since an under-display camera is too expensive a solution, and it's unlikely that Motorola would opt to increase the smartphone's cost, especially in the context of ever-increasing component prices.
When to expect?
The official announcement of the Motorola Razr 70 line-up is expected in April.
