Insta360 Unveils Snap: Transform Your Selfies with a 3.5-Inch Magnetically Attached Display
The company Insta360 has introduced a new accessory Snap — a compact selfie screen that connects to a smartphone via USB-C. The device allows you to use the phone's main camera for shooting videos and photos, which provides significantly better quality compared to the front camera.
What is known
Snap features a 3.5-inch touchscreen display that shows images from the main camera in real-time. Users can adjust the zoom, focus, and other settings directly from the screen, and also accurately frame the shot before shooting. The accessory attaches to the back panel of the smartphone using magnets — in particular, it is compatible with MagSafe solutions, like in iPhone 17. A magnetic ring is included for other devices.
Separately, Insta360 released a version of Snap in collaboration with the brand AMIRO — it comes with built-in lighting with adjustable brightness and color temperature. The standard model costs $80, and the version with lighting is $90.
According to the company, wired USB-C connectivity provides a more stable signal and less delay than wireless counterparts. The device also supports Android smartphones with DisplayPort Alt Mode and works with popular cameras and social networks.
