Casio Unveils Stunning New G-Shock: Rainbow Gradient Meets Classic Design in Full-Metal Watch
The Japanese company Casio has released a new model in the G-Shock lineup - the full-metal GMW-BZ5000RC-1 watch. The new product stands out with its unusual 'rainbow' case design and combines classic design with modern technology - the screen is in deep black and adorned with a classic brick pattern, as in the very first models of the famous series.
Classic Reimagined
The main feature of the model is the ion-coated center piece of the case with iridescent colors, which contrasts with the silver bezel and stainless steel bracelet. A similar color accent is used around the display with a black (negative) background.
The GMW-BZ5000RC-1 continues the development of the iconic 'square' shape, inspired by the original G-Shock of 1983, while using modern design approaches. They are still the 'indestructible' G-Shock: the steel case is shock-resistant, and the back cover has a particularly durable diamond-like coating (DLC). It is stated that the design of the case used data from over 40 years of impact resistance testing and elements of collaborative development using artificial intelligence.
In terms of functionality, the model offers a full range of proprietary technologies:
- Bluetooth connectivity and time synchronization (Multiband 6)
- world time support
- stopwatch, timer, and up to five alarms
- Tough Solar solar charging - even small artificial lighting is enough
- water resistance up to 200 meters.
The watch is available in Japan, and can now be purchased in the UK at a price of £770. The new product also appeared on the French website at a price of €799 with a sales start date of May 20. They will likely debut in other European countries around the same time.
