For many years, Windows users have been annoyed by the unfinished OS update system, which either persistently recommended downloading them or independently rebooted the computer to install a patch.

This should have been addressed long ago, and in March Microsoft published a plan to improve Windows 11, one of its points being to expand freedom in installing updates. This feature will soon be available to users.

Participants of the Windows Insider program report that in the new test build, there is an option to postpone updates to a convenient day. Now, when clicking on the dropdown menu, instead of options like "1 week," "2 weeks," etc., a calendar with the ability to select any date appears.

The appearance of such a feature in Windows Insider indicates that it is already present in Windows 11, and Microsoft just needs to test and activate it, which likely won’t take much time.
