Fable 2026 Release Date Confirmed: Developers Dismiss Delay Rumors Amidst GTA 6 Competition Fears

Jeff Grubb's insider information about the Fable's Launch May Slip Due to GTA VI, Delaying the Return of an Iconic RPG Series from fall 2026 to December due to concerns about competition with GTA 6 caused quite a stir.
The studio Playground Games rushed to deny the information from the authoritative journalist and commented the following under one of the posts on X:
We will be happy to welcome you back to Albion in the fall of 2026.
Therefore, at present, the studio has no plans to postpone the release. However, no developer is immune to the possibility of making such a decision, especially more than six months before the release.
The Fable reboot will be available on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series (and in Game Pass).
