The head of Xiaomi has officially confirmed the release date of MIUI 13

The head of Xiaomi, Lei Jun, announced the date of the presentation of Mi Mix 4 smartphone and tablets of Mi Pad 5 family. He wrote about it on his page in Weibo, without mentioning the firmware MIUI 13. But the top manager quickly corrected himself, telling about the release date of the filmware.

Back in the spring, there were rumors that MIUI 13 would be presented in June. But they were promptly denied by the head of the company's PR department, Won Hua. He also recently announced that the software release will have to be postponed to a later date.

Lei Jun wrote on Weibo that MIUI 13 will be released in late 2021. The head of the company hopes that the new version of the software will be able to meet the expectations of users.

According to new information, the first smartphone with MIUI 13 firmware will be the next-generation flagship Xiaomi Mi 12 right out of the box. It will receive a Snapdragon 895 (or Snapdragon 898) mobile processor and will be presented in December.
