Insider: Xiaomi Mi 12 flagship will get Snapdragon 898 chip and release in December

Xiaomi recently unveiled its flagship Mi MIX 4 smartphone in China, and now it is starting to prepare for the release of the next top-of-the-line device.

Naturally, we are talking about Xiaomi Mi 12. According to an insider, the Chinese manufacturer plans to show the novelty in December. The smartphone will be equipped with a new flagship processor Snapdragon 898. SoC, if you believe the rumors, will be built on a 4-nanometer technological process of Samsung. It is credited with a maximum clock speed of 3.09 GHz, Adreno 730 graphics accelerator, Snapdragon X65 branded 5G modem and having a new core layout: 1 + 3 + 2 + 2 instead of 1 + 3 + 4. It will be one Cortex-X2 core, three Cortex-A710, two Cortex-A510 and two Cortex-A510 (with reduced frequency).

Besides the new chip, Xiaomi Mi 12 is also credited with support for 120W wired charging, 100W wireless charging, and a display with LTPO matrix and adaptive refresh rate from 1 to 120Hz. By the way, similar panels will receive the line of smartphones iPhone 13.
