Last year, with the release of the One UI 2.5 shell, Samsung began to show ads on its smartphones. Naturally, many users did not like this decision, and it seems that the manufacturer has heard them.

What is known

The company has decided to remove ads in the standard applications Phone, Weather, Music, Galaxy Apps, Bixby, Samsung Health, Samsung Pay and etc. This was announced by Samsung Electronics mobile division president Dae Moon Roh (TM Roh) during an internal meeting. Unfortunately, Dae Moon Roh did not disclose the exact timeline for the removal of the ads. He only added that it will happen in future software builds.

Recall, Samsung is not the only company that shows ads in smartphones. Xiaomi has been doing so for years, though it is unlikely to remove it from its devices.
