ZTE Axon 30 5G tested by JerryRigEverything: Mediocre under-screen camera, but good survivability

On September 9, the ZTE Axon 30 5G smartphone, which was unveiled in China in late July, will launch on the global market. Not waiting for that, blogger JerryRigEverything has already put the smartphone through its traditional durability tests.

And

 how?

Of course, the author of the video could not bypass the device's sub-screen front camera. This is the second generation, and the manufacturer promises that the new camera shoots better than its predecessor. This is indeed true, but video quality and photo quality is still mediocre - as selfies ZTE Axon 30 5G better not take. But the lens is really not visible under the display, and this is definitely a plus in the model's piggy bank.

But what  still with durability? Both the frame and the back panel of the gadget are made of plastic, so it's no surprise that they are easily scratched with a stationery knife - on the cover can even (but not necessary) draw entire pictures. The glass covering the display also has no surprises  - it scratches with objects with hardness from 6 on the Mohs scale. In fact, so do most modern smartphones.

Finally, the most interesting test - for durability. The ZTE Axon 30 5G case slightly bent after applying force, inside something cracked, but the smartphone itself continued working as  nothing ever happened. So the gadget is not as rugged as we would like , but quite survivable.
