Redmi 10: budget smartphone with 90Hz screen, MediaTek Helio G88 chip, 50MP quad-camera and stereo speakers priced from $179
In addition to Samsung, its new budget smartphone was also presented today, August 18, by Xiaomi.
What kind of device
We are talking about Redmi 10. It got a design in the style of Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra and Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G (aka POCO X3 GT), a good set of features and a nice price tag.
So, the Redmi 10 has been equipped with a 6.5-inch FHD+ resolution display, an adaptive refresh rate from 45 to 90Hz and an 8 MP front-facing camera hole. The main one, on the other hand, got 50 MP + 8 MP (wide) + 2 MP (macro) + 2 MP (depth sensor) sensors.
The new octa-core MediaTek Helio G88 processor is responsible for the operation of the device. The chip has two performance Cortex-A75 cores clocked at 2.0 GHz, six power-efficient Cortex-A55 cores and a Mali-G52 MC2 graphics accelerator. The smartphone comes with 4/6GB of RAM and 64/128GB of storage (expandable with a memory card). The novelty also comes with stereo speakers, 5000mAh battery with 18W wired charging and 9W reverse charging, Bluetooth 5.0, GNSS (GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BDS), USB Type-C port, headphone jack and side scanner. There is no NFC in the novelty, though perhaps its availability will depend on regions, as it was with Redmi 9.
Redmi 10 will start selling globally on August 20 with the following prices:
- Redmi 10 4/64GB - $179
- Redmi 10 4/128GB - $199
- Redmi 10 6/128GB - $219
