Samsung unveiled Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic smartwatches with 5nm Exynos W920 chip and Wear OS

Samsung has announced a new generation of smart watches. The manufacturer, along with Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Buds 2, introduced Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic models. These are the manufacturer's first wearable gadgets with One UI Watch powered by Wear OS.

Specifications

It is based on a single-chip system Exynos W920, which is made according to 5-nm technology. It has two Cortex-A55 cores clocked up to 1.18 GHz and Mali-G68 graphics. In addition, there is a separate core Cortex-M55, which is responsible for the function Always-on Display. The watch has 1.5GB of RAM and the storage capacity is 16GB.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 has a new BioActive sensor for heart rate measurement, bioimpedance analysis and ECG detection. Bioimpedance analysis provides an in-depth view of health and fitness. It includes parameters such as body water and fat content, metabolic rate and skeletal muscle mass. To start the analysis, you need to put two fingers on the buttons and in just 15 seconds, the sensor will be able to capture 2,400 pieces of data.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and Classic version support Google Pay and Samsung Pay, and boast of water and dust protection according to IP68 standard. Compliance with the U.S. Army MIL-STD-810G standard is also claimed. Both models can operate for up to 40 hours on a single charge.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 is offered with screens with diameters of 40 mm and 44 mm. The resolution is 396 x 396 pixels and 450 x 450 pixels respectively. Both use a Super AMOLED panel covered by Gorilla Glass DX+. The body is made of aluminum. The Classic version turned out to be a bit more dimensional. The diameter is 42 mm or 46 mm, the case is made of stainless steel, and the resolution is the same as the second novelty. But the protection is provided by Gorilla Glass DX.

What about prices?
