Elon Musk revealed Tesla Bot: a "friendly" humanoid with a screen instead of a face and technology like in Tesla electric cars

Elon Musk (Elon Musk), during the event Tesla AI Day, announced a humanoid robot.

The project is codenamed Optimus, but the company calls it Tesla Bot. It will have a screen instead of a face, will be 1.73 m tall and weigh 57 kg. Since Musk has repeatedly expressed fears about the uprising of AI, the device plans to make "friendly", as well as slow (8 km / h) and weak. The robot will be able to lift objects weighing up to 20 kg. 

. As for the filling, Tesla Bot will be equipped with software, cameras and technologies, which are now responsible for autopilot in electric cars Tesla. DUmanoid is planned to be used to solve "boring" tasks. For example, it will be able to perform various household chores and go to the store. 

When to Expect

The prototype Tesla Bot is promised to be shown next year.
