"No turtleneck enthusiast should dictate what your phone will look like": Samsung recalled Steve Jobs in its ads?
Apple and Samsung are sworn rivals who don't miss an opportunity to poke fun and troll each other. Looks like Samsung's new ad also hints at competition with Apple.
What does it mean?
It's about advertising the iTest app. Its description says: "All Samsung users are unique, and they like their phones to be unique too. No turtleneck owner should dictate what your phone will look like. Check out some other topics".
The phrase "turtleneck owners" seems to allude to Apple employees and the late CEO Steve Jobs, who was not gone 10 years ago - in 2011. After all, it was Jobs who did not like business suits and always preferred comfortable clothes: jeans, sneakers and turtlenecks. That's what became his trademark.
Though it is not clear what Steve Jobs has to do with it, if he has no influence whatsoever on design and equipment of Apple gadgets.
