Reuters: Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will come with Samsung's 5G modems
Rumors about Google's new Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro smartphones keep popping up online. This time some details were shared by Reuters news agency.
What is known
Google has recently confirmed that the new items will run the proprietary Tensor processor, which seems to be built on the chip Exynos 9855. As it turned out, in addition to SoC Samsung, Google will also use in the novelties 5G-modems from the Korean manufacturer. Most likely, we are talking about Exynos 5123 5G. The modem will support mmWave networks.
Recall that Google showed Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro a couple of weeks ago, but the full release of smartphones will be held only in the fall. The new devices will get water protection, OLED displays with refresh rates of up to 120 Hz, new advanced cameras, as well as batteries larger than 4000 mAh with 33W fast charging support. The devices should cost from $900 USD.
