The Indian division of the Xiaomi Redmi sub-brand continues to actively tease the new smartphone Redmi 10 Prime, which will be introduced in a week - September 3. At this time the manufacturer has confirmed the processor, which will form the basis of the model.

So, Redmi 10 Prime will get Helio G88 chip. Actually, like Redmi 10, which debuted a couple of weeks ago and It's official: Redmi 10 will be the first smartphone on the market with MediaTek Helio G88 chip on board. Recall, the platform itself was announced recently along with Helio G90 . They come to replace the older Helio G80 and G85 chipsets. The processor offers features such as support for 90Hz refresh rate, LPPDR4x RAM, eMMC 5.1 storage, cameras with resolution up to 64 megapixels, Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0.

Looks like as previously speculated, Redmi 10 Prime will be the renamed Redmi 10 for Indian market. Though the previous Redmi 9 Prime and Redmi 9 were different in processors. In this case, the difference is likely to be minimal  the lack of NFC in the Indian model.

If true, the Redmi 10 Prime will get a 6.5-inch display with 90Hz refresh rate, stereo speakers, 5000 mAh battery with 18-watt wired charging and 9-watt reverse charging, 8-megapixel front camera and main quad camera (50 MP + 8 MP (wired) + 2 MP (macro) + 2 MP (depth sensor).
