Redmi K20 (aka Mi 9T) is the latest in the K-series to start receiving MIUI 12.5 update
Xiaomi has almost completed the deployment of MIUI 12.5 update and is already busy with the new version of MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition. And at the same time the Redmi K20 smartphone has just started receiving MIUI 12.5.
When to wait?
Nothing surprising about this: the smartphone debuted in May 2019 and since that time it has already received two MIUI updates and two Android updates. Now Xiaomi has started rolling out MIUI 12.5 for the model, releasing firmware with build number V
So far only users in China have started to receive the update, yes and then not all. In any case smartphone owners in China and international market should receive MIUI 12.5 in soon. As a reminder, the Redmi K20 is known as Mi 9T outside the Middle Kingdom.
That said, the Redmi K20 may also get MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition and then MIUI 13, which should be its last major software update.
